I walk into broken programs and make them work.
Serotine: the lodgepole pine cone that only opens after fire. Built to regenerate what has burned down.
Some programs get stuck. The technology exists, but nobody trusts it. The team is capable, but nobody has given them a clear path. The processes were never built, or broke somewhere along the way. That is where I do my best work.
I work at the intersection of technology and people, which means I can read a technical schema and run a stakeholder briefing in the same afternoon. Over 20+ years, I have led platform modernizations serving millions of users, rebuilt broken programs during government-wide crises, launched a national digital permit system from scratch in a single season, and briefed senior federal executives on standards I built for their use.
This is not limited to the government. I have helped private business owners in massage therapy, native plant landscaping, and specialty retail get their operations and technology working - without needing to be an expert in their field. I figure out what is broken, build what is needed, and make sure it keeps running after I leave. I build capacity in your team, not dependency on my presence.
